Memory #4 children eating from the trash

A day at the market in Kenya Africa :

On our trip to the market we were told not to offer any money or food to the children because it could  cause a riot ,get the children  or us hurt. There in the center of the market was a group of children gathered around the burnt trash ,digging for food. We were told about how most of them were addicted to a glue that dulled there hunger pains.

     We have had some ask the question "why would you go to Africa when there are children going hungry here? "  We say"Why should some children deserve food more than others just because they live on a different continent. "We feel that if we were able to help even just one of these little children it would be worth it.
