Are you thankful ?

It is a privilege to live in a country where if you are a hard worker, intelligent and honest you will eventually be successful. This is a privilege that most parts of the world are not given.
Here in Kenya it does not matter how smart ,creative , hard working and honest you are ,you are almost guaranteed to make around $4.oo a day.  In  visiting all these different peoples....people that walk miles to get water to cook there dinner or people that make more money in a day  than others would make in a whole lifetime , I have come to this conclusion.....(with exceptions) thankfulness has nothing at all to do with your economic status , or your current circumstances. The people who complain about having little will complain about having a lot and vice versa. Or you may be one that says " I will finally be thankful if I could just get out of this one circumstance."
It is usually when i am too focused on myself that i find it difficult to be thankful. Are you struggling with being thankful?Try serving others for a day. Volunteer in a shelter, nursing home ,hospital,visit a sick friend or go on a mission trip to Kenya....it will change your  life.I don't believe it is possible to enjoy all God has for you unless you thank Him for what He has already given you.
"This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it."
